We offer six training and consultation options to fit your needs — from free Q&A sessions to multi-day in-person workshops. All options are available in English and Spanish.
Training Option 1
1-Hour Online Q&A Sessions
Free
If you are currently using Essential for Living, Option 1 will provide answers to all of your questions.
Sessions are scheduled several times each month in English and in Spanish. You can view the schedule and register on our Complimentary Sessions page.
There is no charge for this option and you may register for and attend as many of these sessions as you like.

Training Option 2
6 Hour (1 day) or 12 Hour (2 day) In-Person Training

Best for an agency, school, school district, or region of a state or province.
Option 2 includes all travel expenses, User Guides for each participant, and 6 BACB CEUs for behavior analysts.
The agency, school, school district, or region is expected to provide a venue for the training and to purchase or make available one handbook for each participant (a discount is provided for 20 or more handbooks). Participants in this training will learn to function as users of Essential for Living.
This training is available in English and Spanish and includes one follow-up 'problem-solving/case consultation' session.

6-Hour Online Training

Just like the in-person training, but virtual! Includes 6 BACB CEUs and includes one follow-up, 'problem solving/case consultation' session.
With option 3, one handbook should be purchased for each participant (a discount is provided for 20 or more handbooks), which, in turn, will be accompanied by a complimentary User Guide.
Participants will learn to function as users of Essential for Living.
This training is available in English and Spanish and, as mentioned above, includes one follow-up 'problem-solving/case consultation' session.

Training Option 4
4-Hour Online 'Live' or 'On-Demand' Training
$98.00 per person
We have an On Demand four-hour training available on BehaviorLive!
Here, Patrick and Troy will describe how to conduct an initial quick assessment, how to make certain that a learner has an effective method of speaking that will last a lifetime, how to record small increments of learner performance and progress, and how to teach the Essential Eight Skills in a context which would occur in everyday living until fluency and some degree of generalization are achieved.
Purchase of a handbook is suggested to follow along.

A two-hour online follow-up 'problem-solving/case consultation' session for an agency, school, or school district, or a region of a state or province.
Each participant in Option 5 should bring a handbook to this session.
Option 5 can be scheduled by contacting Patrick, Troy, or Miguel Avila.

EFL Training Event Workshops

EFL will host weekend workshops and trainings on our curriculum and assessment for BCBAs, SLPs, SPED teachers and anyone else interested!
